About Dr. Subba Rao Pavuluri

Dr. Subba Rao Pavuluri is an eminent scientist, distinguished space technologist and entrepreneur with extensive experience in the Indian Space Program (ISRO). A native of Govada village in Andhra Pradesh, he rose from a humble farming background through discipline, hard work, and passion for learning. After a successful 15-year tenure at ISRO, he became one of the early pioneers of private industry in high technology areas.

In 1992, Dr. Subba Rao founded Ananth Technologies Limited (ATL) for Design, Development and Fabrication of highly reliable systems for Indian Space Programme and Indian Defence. Under his leadership, ATL has contributed to the manufacture, integration, and testing of 107 satellites and 87 launch vehicles, maintaining a 100% success rate. He also serves as President of Andhra Pradesh Space Academy and member of the Uttar Pradesh Economic Council.

In 2025, Dr. Subba Rao assumed charge as the Chancellor of Vignan University, Guntur, with a vision to elevate the institution to national and global prominence through value-based education, innovation, and holistic student development. He is also an Ekal Global Trustee and South India Mentor for Ekal Abhiyan, supporting primary education for tribal and rural children.

He actively contributes to educational institutions such as universities, engineering colleges and schools to bridge the digital divide through the spread of Space Technologies, creating scientific curiosity. As a trustee of Arogya Foundation, he is helping to pursue the Arogya mission to remote rural areas.
